We have lots of exciting updates and opportunities to share with you this Month!
Winter Clothing Drive: November 3–28
One of the things that makes Birch Cliff so special is how we take care of one another. This November, our Parent Council is hosting a Winter Clothing Drive from November 3–28, and we’re inviting everyone to help us spread a little warmth.
🪣 Donation bins are located in the office hallway near the lost and found.
All donations will help keep families in our wider community warm and cared for this winter season.

Volunteer Roles – Get Involved!
We’re looking for a few amazing parent volunteers to help support our school community, and you don’t need to attend regular SAC meetings to get involved! These roles are flexible and low-commitment, and we’ll help you get started.
We’re currently seeking:
✅ Grant Writing Helper
✅ Chromebook Fundraising Lead
✅ Classroom Parent Representatives (one per class)

Battery Blitz Success & What’s Coming Next
We’re thrilled to share that thanks to the incredible participation from our Birch Cliff community, our school came in 2nd Place and won $2,750 in last year’s Battery Blitz 👏
Your efforts made a huge impact, and we can’t wait to take on the challenge again this year. Please start collecting used batteries and begin taping both ends (the battery terminals) for safety with tape (electrical/duct/packing) before bringing them to school. Some types of batteries can spark when their terminals touch metal or other batteries. Please refer to the Recycle Your Batteries, Canada website for more info! There is already a drop box near the school office so you’re now able to start dropping off your batteries to help us continue this great initiative!
Next Parent Council Meeting
Our next Parent Council Meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 19, from 6:30–8:00 p.m.
The meeting will be offered both in person at the school and virtually for those who prefer to join online.
Free babysitting will be available at the school.
Everyone is welcome, we would love to see you there!
Kids Kitchen Hot Lunches: Order Through kidskitchen.ca
As a reminder you can order Kids Kitchen hot meals through kidskitchen.ca!
This is a convenient way to add hot, nutritious meals to your child’s school day. Ordering is flexible, with no minimum commitments, simply log in to their website to place an order. Orders need to be in by the Friday before lunch service which happens on Mondays (the service calendar is available on the kidskitchen site. Popcorn Thursdays
Every Thursday, popcorn will be sold for $2.
All funds raised will go directly toward holiday hampers for families in need within our Birch Cliff community.
