Dear Parents/Guardians,
Are you passionate about sports and interested in volunteering as a coach at our school? The TDESAA (Toronto District Elementary School Athletic Association) requires all non-TDSB teaching staff, including parents and community members, to attend a Community Coaches meeting to be eligible to coach school sports.
These sessions are designed to introduce participants to the TDESAA Code of Conduct for Coaches and the philosophy of sport. After completing the session and meeting the necessary requirements, you’ll be issued a TDESAA Community Coach card.

Next Steps After the Meeting:
Chat with the principal to confirm their approval and support.
Complete a current Criminal Reference Check.
The school coach will submit your completed coaching form to [email protected] to obtain your TDESAA Community Coach card.
